The Techonology


Biomass:

Biomass Contains Carbon, Hydrogen & Oxygen molecules Complete Combustion would produce Carbon-di-oxide (CO2) and water vapours (H2O). Where as Combustion under controlled conditions i.e. partial combustion produces Carbon monoxide (CO) and Hydrogen (H2) which are both Combustible gases.

Solid Biomass Fuel:

Solid biomass fuels which are usually inconvenient and have low efficiency of utilization can thus be convested into a high quality gaseous fuel.

Urja Biomass Gasifier:

Urja Biomass Gasifier is a thermochemical catalytic converter/Reacter where various physical & chemical reactions takes places. Biomass is passed through various Zones – Drying/ Distillation Zone, Pyrolysis Zone, Combustion Zone & Reduction Zone.
When the biomass is passed through all the above Zones, it gets converted into a high quality combustible gas called Producer Gas.

Producer Gas:

Producer Gas is a low caloric, low pressure gas that can be combusted for low cost heat & Power generation etc.

CO = 19 ± 3 % CH4 = 03 ± 1%
H2 = 18 ± 2% CO2 = 10 ± 3%
N2 = 50 ± 2%



Salient Features

a) High Conversion efficiency from solid Biomass to gaseous fuel 85% in hot gas mode, 75% in cold gas mode & 65 – 70% with rice husk.


b) Each Kg of Biomass Producer 2.5 to 3.0 cubic meters of gas having a average calorific value of 1050 Kcal per cubic meter.


c) Low cost power generation through D.G. Set & Producer gas gen set.


d) 65% - 85% Diesel Saving in D.G. Set (Duel fuel D.G. Set).
A litre of liquid fuel can be saved from 4-5 Kg of Biomass.
